I hear this all the time. What I’ve seen in nearly twenty years of teaching Qigong and movement is that it’s not about trying harder. It’s about feeling better in your body and more like yourself again in a way that actually lasts- moving through life with more ease and letting your daily rhythm support you instead of work against you.

For those who want to feel better in their bodies, not just manage them, this is where it begins.

For you, I’ve created an intentional week in Playa Grande, Costa Rica, February 13–20, 2027, centered around what it actually feels like to live well, not just think about it. You’re invited to join us for Living Well, Living Long: A Qigong & Longevity Retreat, where the most studied habits of the world’s longest-lived communities meet the ancient practice of Qigong- not as theory, but as something you experience day by day.

Costa Rica itself is one of the world’s Blue Zones. You won’t just hear about it, you’ll live inside it. Playa Grande is quiet in a way that’s getting harder to find, where the days move slower and naturally invite you to do the same.

Picture waking slowly, without rushing into the day. Morning Qigong in open air, birdsong instead of notifications and movement that feels grounding rather than forced. Slow breakfasts with simple, nourishing food.

Afternoons open up with space to read, rest, walk or simply sit. Time that isn’t scheduled just to be filled. Evenings bring a sense of connection, being around people who get it, who are asking the same questions and making the same kind of effort to live more intentionally.

This is a week designed to restore you, not fill you.

Nate Guadagni

As the founder of Bo Yoga and Balance for Life, Nate Guadagni has spent decades synthesizing yoga, Qigong, and senior fitness into classes that are safe, effective, and accessible. With over twenty years of full-time teaching experience, he helps adults 55+ stay strong, active, and independent while building a real sense of community along the way. Nate holds certifications in Better Bones and Balance (Oregon State University), ACE Senior Fitness Personal Training, and Holden Qigong, and he is an E-RYT 500 Yoga Teacher Trainer.

About The Venue

Rip Jack Inn

Just 75 meters from Playa Grande’s stunning white sand beach, this boutique hotel blends surf, wellness, and an easy, laid-back rhythm that’s hard to find. Named after the owner’s two beloved dogs, Rip and Jack, the spirit of the place is warm, personal and grounded in connection.

Located about 1 hour from Liberia International Airport, it feels just far enough removed to fully disconnect, while still being easy to reach.

Due to the financial responsibility of Panacea Retreats for booking and holding the retreat property, all payments are non-refundable. Travel insurance is required for this trip, if purchased within 14 days of booking, you can access “Cancel Anytime” coverage (Travelguard, Squaremouth, Tinleg and Good Allianz are good options).
Fly into Liberia Airport ideally by 3pm
Your passport must be valid for 6 months beyond your arrival date
Currently, there are no COVID requirements to enter Costa Rica or the United States (for US citizens)
